how to view several blocks together
« on: 04 March 2011, 18:52:32 »
Hello
I am new to quilting.
This is a wonderful tool, thank you for sharing it.   I am trying to see how the larger quilt would look, and so wanted to take the initial design and duplicate it several times to see the general layout of pattern development.   I have not figured out how to do this on computer, but I am aware that I could print out the single design several times and paper piece them together.   Is there a way to put the quilt blocks together and view them on the computer screen?

Thank you again
Linda

Actually, I have managed to answer my own question.    You save the design to the clipboard and then paste it into Word, then reduce it down, copy it, and repaste it over and over.... works like a charm!    gives me a chance to see just what the put-together quilt might look like!!

This is fun

How do you save it to the clipboard?

Hi Sarah,

Saving to the clipboard is easy. For the best result, first select the "Coloring" mode from the "Mode" menu (key C), then zoom the design to the size you want the copy to be, then select "Copy Design to Clipboard" from the "Edit" menu (key Ctrl-C).
