This quilt combines traditional colorful elements from 3D computer design (checkerboard pattern, a golden oldie) with a subdued background showing vague reflections in the form of Sashiko patterns. The butterfly brings a bit of life in an otherwise immaculate world. Quilt detail.

"Save by the border." The original design (multi-colored rose) didn't work very well on its own. It was in serious danger of ending up as a UFO, but a good idea for a border made it worth finishing after all. Quilt detail.
